Character Personality: Allen’s earliest experiences was those of hardship and pain. He had no one to care for him and no home to go back too, so he instead would go from place to place in the search of a job or any means to get enough money to continue on surviving. During this Time he truly believed he didn’t need anyone, and that his parents had abandoned him for the very reason many rejected him, his deformed left arm. Because of this he tended to keep to himself and treat everyone around him coldly. Really he just wanted to remain invisible, doing his job in the shadows and not caring about the way his patrons treated him. One such person he helped was Mana who had a dog by the name of Allen. Although he would come and deliver meals to the showman, Mana hardly paid any attention to the child, and the young boy was fine with this. But also during this time the dog would end up touching his heart, as he was the first being to show kindness to the young one, licking that very deformed hand that he believed cursed him to this eternal loneliness. A few days later, after being beaten up by another member of the circus, he runs into Mana again as he buries his now deceased dog. Perhaps that was why the boy had decided to speak up, asking if Mana was going to seek revenge, noticing that it had been beaten to death.
He was left in wonder when the older man said he wouldn’t, in fact this happy clown didn’t seem sad or angry at all, despite the fact his pet had been cruelly killed. Instead he seemed more concerned for the boy, and stated that although he was sad he could no longer cry. It’s then that Allen finally shows that he too was sad over the death of the dog, and in a way cries for the both of them. After this, Mana adopts the child he later names Allen after the dog which brought them together. This clown would become Allen’s father, and the first person to ever truly care about the boy. They would be together a short Time, but during this Time they would grow increasingly close and Mana would teach the boy kindness and what it felt like to be loved.
Another lesson he would teach him was to continue moving forward despite whatever comes your way. This would become increasingly important when at the tender age of ten Mana dies, leaving Allen once more alone. But it takes him awhile before he could follow his adopted father’s words, instead loosing himself in his misery, and like so many others this causes him to catch the attention of the Earl of Millennium. All too easy he’s used by the Earl and turns the one person he loved into a horrible weapon. Mana enraged by his turning into an Akuma curses Allen, cutting open his eye and leaving his essence behind. Allen, weakened by the wound and by the pain of his father’s rage, is left unable to move. But it’s then that his arm activates, turning into a large claw and on its own begins attacking the Akuma that was Mana. Allen begs him to run, to get away from him, not caring that his father was now a monster, just not wanting to lose him again, not wanting to kill him! The Earl at this time disappears, for reasons not yet known when usually he would destroy such a child. And rather than running away, the once show man stays, stating just before Allen takes his life again, that he loves him and begs to destroy him.
After this Allen is left in a shock. Unable to believe what had just transpired and faced with an even worse result then before. Marian Cross then comes and picks the boy up, telling him about his arm and offering him a new reason to live, to use his powers to exorcise the poor spirits that where Akuma. But this doesn’t snap Allen out of his shock. He’s taken to a safe house and for months he remains this way; refusing to eat, speak, or move. The only time he really reacts was when the pain would hit from his cursed eye, so terrible that he would thrash and scream endlessly until his throat was so sore he couldn’t make another sound. Once this was over he would go back to his unmovable state. Cross would have to force the food down his throat, and often times clean the bed when the ten year old would refuse to leave even to go to the bathroom.
It’s not until Cross reminds him of those words “To keep moving” that he slowly comes out of his stupor, and he starts to talk. But rather than speaking like he normally does, brash and childish, he talks like the man he lost. This is one of two obvious signs that he wasn’t really over the loss of his father, or was even really dealing with it. But this wasn’t a concern to the man who only picked up the boy because he was destined to become another. After this point he would talk properly, mannerisms over shadowing the true Allen. Although that rude brat wasn’t completely gone, and would often be driven out thanks to Cross and another boy he’ll meet within the order.
His new Master of the skill would often go out and party and leave many, many, debts on poor Allen’s shoulders. This forces him to continue his practice as an entertainer, and also made him an expert at poker. And by expert I mean a professional cheat. But this wouldn’t be the only lessons he would learn of course. He also was forced through harsh practice and in time he would learn to control that arm, as well as figure out the purpose and use behind his cursed eye. He finds out that he now had the ability to see the tortured souls trapped within the Akuma shell. At first the young Allen thinks that the tears which the souls shed, where tears of rage due to them being turned into weapons. He then figures out that they are in fact tears of love, with the wish that they had been stronger. With this in mind, his reason for becoming an exorcist changes from his guilt for what he did to his adopted father to a desire to free those sorry souls, believing akuma never should exist in this world. With this, his cursed eye becomes his reason to live and to fight, the sight of those souls turning into a constant reminder of his purpose hence fourth. Because of this he was able to keep on walking, despite his master’s greedy expenditure, despite the hard training, despite the loneliness, and within in time he would find himself at the doors of the Black Order’s HQ. Alone because stupid master didn’t want to come home and instead knocked him out and abandoned him in India, telling him he would send a letter of recommendation to Kamui and also leaving him Timcampy to help him locate the place.
The Black Order is an organization which works solely for the reasons of gathering Innocence, finding new exorcists, and building up an army to combat the Earl of Millennium. You are not paid for your service, but this is unnecessary when the Order itself will fund your expenditures, as long as they are reasonable. The Black Order is separated into four branches; the Asia Branch, the Oceanic Branch, the North American Branch, the European branch, and are all run under Central which is located within the Vatican. They are considered to be members of the church, and thusly wear a silver Cross on their chest as identification. Very few exorcists actually exist in the world, but most of them can handle at least a Level 2 Akuma on their own. The branch Allen is sent too resides in England, and is known as the European branch ran by Kamui Lee, elder brother of exorcist Renalee Lee.
When Allen first arrives he’s mistaken as an ally of the Earl, this is due to the gate keeper being unable to register him properly as a human due to the curse. The base goes on red alert and the first exorcist that comes onto the scene is Kanda Yuu. For a short while these two fight, Allen trying to guard and convince them that he’s not their enemy, and Kanda not really caring and just wanting to cut him to shreds. Eventually Allen cries out about the letter sent to Komui, they find it, and Allen is finally allowed into headquarters. He attempts to make up for the bad first impression with Kanda but the other man decides to brush him off.
Kanda Yuu is one of the few characters in the series that very quickly manages to break through to Allen’s original and actual personality. Constantly the two of them end up at each other’s throats, mostly due to their differing personalities and beliefs. Whereas Allen believes in trying to protect everybody and treating everyone with respect, Kanda believes in survival and not getting overly familiar. This is shown instantly even before their first mission together. Some of the Finder’s where remembering their deceased comrades behind the black haired male and he treats it as an annoyance, causing a fight. Allen steps in to stop him, stating that saying such things wasn’t right. The fight then turns between them as Kanda openly states that he hated people like Allen and that he wouldn’t live more than a month in this job. They are then called to the main office and given their first mission involving the retrieval of a rather interesting innocence. This innocence is located within a heart of a doll whose only wish is to continue living so that she may sing to the human she cares the most for until she breaks. Kanda finds this idea idiotic and wants to take the innocence right away, but Allen fends him off as well as the Akuma after her heart, so that he can make her and her dying masters final wishes come true. He barely manages to protect her heart, but even after her human master had long sense died he continues to sit and guard over her day after day with no rest. She breaks a few days later, and they finally complete the mission.
It didn’t matter how injured he was, nor the length of time it took to accomplish the goal, all that mattered was that they both could move on without regret. In a way it goes back to his purpose in life, to save the souls trapped within the Akuma. Although he and Kanda continue to fight every time they breathe the same air in the same room, a strange bond forms between them and they become friends. And this same kindness he showed to the doll will come back around, in that very same room, but this time for Kanda himself.
Another important person that brings out certain personality traits from the young boy is Lenalee Lee. She was the first exorcist to show him any kind of hospitality within Headquarters, showing him around and warning him of what places to keep out for his own safety. But more than any of that she is the first person to call this place a home. And at the end of the day, after the battle and after the horrors of being tested and having a giant drill entering his innocence infused arm, just after everything…it’s that one word that sticks with him. This was his home, and perhaps the first real home he’s had since he lost Mana. While traveling with his master they never really got all that close, and often Allen was busy trying to make money to pay off the nightmarish debts.
And although there will be many things in the future that makes him question the order’s intentions, he will always consider these people, and this place, as his home. Lenalee Lee, a girl who considers her friends and family as her entire world, is one of the supporting factors for how this came to be. Through her he met the science division and made more friends than he could possibly imagine. While at HQ everyone could laugh, and enjoy themselves and let their worries run free for a bit. While in this environment Allen is more open, getting into playful fights and messing around with the others. He also states later in the series that only when he’s relaxed does he eat, and god does he eat. He’s notorious for being able to eat a table worth of food and then some. This is why whenever anything dangerous threatens his home, or when anyone is killed within HQ he becomes exceptionally upset. One thing he’ll never be able to forget is when the Noah and Akuma invade and many members of the science division and Finders are killed before they’re able to stop them. He only wishes that this would have happened once, but unfortunately when you fight a war, there will be times where the weaker members will be targeted.
But even after these instances, Allen never blames the Akuma, only the one who commands over them. The Earl and his thirteen Noah’s. The first Time he met a Noah it was a huge shock for Allen, because despite their blood lust and their amazing abilities they are still human. Having to fight such a battle is very hard on our young exorcist, who was unprepared to have to face off against a human, and even possibly have to kill them.
His first meeting with a Noah happens while he and Lenalee go on a mission to locate an innocence that was forcing a town through a time loop. During this mission they run into a rather depressed woman named Miranda who seems to have synchronized with the innocence and activated it. In their attempts to stop the constant loop they try to solve one of Miranda’s biggest problems, the fact she felt so hopeless and worthless because she can’t keep a job. While in the process of this Road uses some Akuma to distract the exorcists away and kidnaps Miranda, nailing her with sharp candles to the very clock that hosts her innocence. Road seems to have no desire to destroy it, despite the fact she’s located it and its user. Instead she uses Miranda to draw in the others and ambushes them. She treats a nerve damaged Lenalee as her doll and tortures Allen. Again, she makes no move to kill them off and destroy their innocence which was her job. But perhaps this was because this entire thing was unplanned, her own venture of entertainment. And the girl gets her kicks, forcing Allen to watch her play with his friends while his anti Akuma weapon is nailed to the wall in a vicious manner. Eventually she comes over to him, to prove her humanity when he questions as to why he can’t see a soul, having at first mistaken her as being a high level Akuma. In that same time she grabs a sharpened candle and gouges out his cursed eye. With Miranda’s help they manage to defeat Road’s Akuma and she leaves, but not before torturing Allen once more.
This time using his love and care for the Akuma to her advantage. One was still alive and she orders it to self-destruct, informing Allen that the soul trapped within the weapon will be eaten up by the dark matter if destroyed without the use of an anti Akuma weapon. Desperately he tries to destroy it in the short frame before it goes off, not giving a damn for his own life, but Lenalee stops him. At first he’s enraged by this, but eventually calms down.
Another Noah that impacts Allen’s life in a major way was Tyki Mikk. His first meeting with Tyki was as two ordinary men trying to cheat each other out of every cent and shred pride they had via poker. In a way they become friends through that wicked game, as Allen allows him and his friends to at least have their clothes back. In return Tyki hands him a custom deck of cards, which even today Allen keeps close to him. Sadly this friendship wasn’t to be as Tyki is then sent out to track down and kill a number of exorcists, our young protagonist being one. During this Allen is fighting desperately to save a fallen exorcist who was being devoured and tortured by his own innocence due to the fact he betrayed god and his comrades all because he wanted to live. He ends up driving his weapon far beyond what its limitations where and breaking it completely, forcing him through a mass amount of excruciating pain but still he fights for this fallen member of the order and Manages to keep him alive, although his soul and mind was no longer intact. But it wasn’t to be as Tyki came and cruelly took the fallen one’s life as well as took advantage of Allen’s weak state and attempts to kill him as well, piercing a hole in his heart so he can slowly bleed out and spreading that very gift over him like a tribute. But that wasn’t all, before he killed him, the member of Noah makes a show of destroying Allen’s innocence, crushing it in front of him as he lies their helpless. But Allen does not die, because through this entire battle you figure out that the innocence has a soul of its own. It chooses its master, and rather than dispersing as per usual it stays around as a cloud of fog, surrounding and protecting Allen and filling in the hole in his heart to keep him alive. A guardian named Fon later finds him and carries him to the Asia branch.
Here he spends days, weeks desperately trying to gather his innocence again so he can once more fight. His inability to do so wasn’t because the Innocence didn’t care no longer, but because in a way it was testing his resolve. Later, Tyki finds out his target is still alive and sends a level 3 Akuma after him through a dimensional gate called Noah’s arc, which easily makes it through the Asia branch’s defenses and leaves the thousands of members housed within to the Akuma’s mercy. Rather than despairing though, or fearing the creature he couldn’t possibly destroy without his weapon, Allen is constantly trying to fight it, going towards it like a moth to a flame. He realizes then that he wasn’t human at all, that he was a weapon, not just his arm, and his entire body was god’s weapon, created to save the souls of Akuma and to protect humanity. It reminds him of his purpose, and his experiences with the Noah only seem to have caused him to steel his resolve further. It’s then that his innocence synchronizes with him once again and turns from just a really powerful arm to a full body armor, thusly called Clown Crown.
Another change was the force behind these emotions. You could say that before Allen only pitied the Akuma and was disgusted by the action of their creation. Now he states that his wish to destroy them was solely out of love. He loved those soul’s, with all of his heart, all he wanted to do was bring them peace and happiness again. And thanks to all those who had helped him, had spent their time with him, Allen had become a man that would not, could not turn his back on someone who needed his help. Thusly he swore upon his human arm to fight to protect and save them all, and he swore on his weaponized arm to save and free all the Akuma.
After getting checked out and given the ok to go, he uses the arc to travel to where his friends are. During this entire ordeal his friends had continued on their mission to find Allen’s master which led them into the belly of The Earl’s base, which was all of Japan. He arrives just in time to save Lenalee from the Earl. Shortly after this the enemy runs away momentarily, but not because they had been overpowered. It was more accurate to say they had to get back to work, because at this moment Road was copying over the information from the old arc to the new one.
What had happened was that around 35 years ago, the fourteenth Noah betrayed the Earl and locked the arc down, forcing them all to stay in japan in order to use it, as well as keeping Akuma developing machine (known as the egg) there with it. But now that Tyki knew for a fact Allen was alive he couldn’t just let the boy go, deciding instead to open the arc and suck Allen and a number of his friends into the world of the old arc, locking them there as it began to crumble as the download continued. He then proposed a game to them, the game being that before time ran out and the entire place collapsed they had to make it to the tower in the distance. The hook, they would have to use Road’s dimensional doors, and behind each door was a Noah who they would have to fight to continue forward. Despite Allen wanting to keep together he finds himself forced to leave one friend after another to their own battle and continue on. The first was Kanda, left to defeat the Noah of rage and catch up, but he never does. The next was Krory, a very important friend because in a way he reminded Allen of himself, having an innocence that made normal people treat them as outcasts, monsters even. In the end Lenalee, Lavi, Allen, and a man named Chaozii make it to the end where Road and Tyki awaited them.
Road greets Allen with a kiss, which although it surprises him he doesn’t really react much more too, nor does he seem to mind it when she chooses to cling all over him. This moment shows two distinct and rare characteristics of Allen. One was that he wasn’t a very shy individual, he didn’t react bashfully to the talk of Marriage or awkwardly to the fact this girl was practically sitting in his lap. In fact he was rather calm about it, perhaps overly so. This could be thanks to the lesson learned after he lost his cursed eye for a short time (it grew back), being unable to tell just who he should trust and who he should be weary of. Now with that experience under his belt, and looking back to his childhood where he seemed to hold most people at a distance, you could say that it formed a rather convincing mask over his feelings. What I mean is that Allen can now act rather naturally despite the danger looming over him, refusing to show an ounce of fear or weakness, much like the other exorcists who had to battle without the ability to tell the difference. Another characteristic was his ability to forgive. Because despite the pain and torture dealt both to his soul and his body he doesn’t once look at Road with the thought of revenge.
And this shows even more involving Tyki Mikk, as again he’s nearly killed by him, only for Allen to grow and manage to defeat this once impossible foe. This time, the resolve that gives him strength is gathered from his feelings of wanting to stop the Noah, but not kill them. He even says before the battle that he didn’t find this fun at all, but rather sad. Not because of his lost friends, but solely because he had to fight against the Noah. He had already forgiven Tyki for what happened in the past, no it never even came to that with Allen. This was just how things where, they were enemies and they would have to fight, so really the only emotion he could feel at this moment was sadness.
Lavi, one of Allen’s closest friends who was there throughout his change and someone the white haired teen could trust full heartedly, manages to defeat Road and they all attempt to escape. It’s at this time that Allen decides to try and go back for Tyki, who when stabbed with Allen’s sword had the darkness of the Noah damaged, leaving the man alive. Chaozii, who had just lost all of his friends and comrades, his very family to the Akuma and was fighting solely to honor their memories and their wishes, called him a traitor and that he was dishonoring everyone who died for the cause if he were to save the enemy. Allen hardly reacts, and without saying a word continues in his attempt to save Tyki. After all, he was still human.
But this wasn’t necessary, because Allen hadn’t finished the job and the Noah inside Tyki ended up destroying what little humanity remained and awoke, now fully becoming the Noah of Pleasure. Cross then comes in and saves them, but during the battle the door to the real world is destroyed. Not only that, but Lavi and Chaozii both end up falling into the abyss. It was now just him, his master, and Lenalee left. Allen doesn’t really even get the time to think about this though, because everything was crumbling around them now. But all hope was not lost as Cross commands Allen to go to a secret room and save them.
Allen was so confused, only he could enter this room? Why, and why was his master telling him to sing and play the piano? And things only get more shocking when he finds his body automatically doing just that, hearing the lyrics and the melody being sung within his head, all while reading sheet music that truly only he could read…because he and Mana had been the ones to create the language it was written in. A fun, childish game to pass the time, creating a secret code. But when he’s told to wish for something as he plays, his mind empties out and he focuses on those he lost within the arc. In the end he completely fixes the arc, keeps the egg from being transferred over to the new version, and brings back all the friends he thought was lost forever.
However this joy wasn’t to last, because as soon as they were all home he still had the problem that there was another…voice, another being within his body. He thought he was going insane, and for once in his life he started to doubt the man he called his Father. Especially after he finds out the identity of that someone within him, it was the fourteenth Noah. In the end he decides to just keep going about things as he does, all the while holding onto this doubt that had formed, doubt about Mana’s love, but also doubting if this path was truly his own. Was this really all planned out, had he not decided this path on his own? Now he couldn’t be as sure as he once was.
Now the order knew what was going on they would have someone constantly watch him, an investigator by the name of Link who lived and slept with him day after day. But they were not alone, because the Millennium Earl also knew, and he quickly started to make plans in order to get Allen, no to get the fourteenth back. For some strange reason this man was obsessed with retrieving him, he didn’t even care if he was still a traitor or not, he just wanted him by his side. Well Allen didn’t like this, he didn’t mind the watch, or the distrust that now followed him through the halls, but never would he join the Earl. Because he was an exorcist through and through, and that was never going to change. If there was one person Allen could never forgive, never accept, it would be the Earl himself. He was truly the one he hated most in this entire world.
Eventually the Earl enacts his plan, using the organizations own experiments against them and forcing Kanda to fight the person he cared the most about. Before this, Allen and Road end up taking a trip through Kanda’s memories and his friend Alma’s, and seeing how very human they were, and hearing both of their reasons he can’t just stay behind and let them kill eachother. He steps in and ends up stabbed through the abdomen by Kanda’s blade. The innocence ends up waking up the Noah within Allen, and it’s just barely is surpressed by Timcampy interrupting the transformation. He wakes up and once again acts against better judgment, against ORDERS and sends Kanda and Alma far away, hiding them where nobody would find them, granting them freedom…and a chance to die together peacefully (Kanda doesn’t die though).
But now the pressure was even stronger, constantly going through pains and having to fight against the Noah within. He ends up jailed as a traitor and if he tries to escape he will be killed. Most of the Black Order saw him only as a Noah now, including Chaozii who had become an exorcist as well. And as if things couldn’t get worse, while he was immobile he was attacked. This time not by an Akuma, or a Noah, but by an independent, sentient Innocence that goes by the title of Apocryphos. This innocence wished to absorb him in order to save him from turning into the fourteenth. But Allen was absolutely disgusted by this, and fought against him. It’s then that Road and Tyki arrive and help him out, but in the action they escape, and now the order was out for Allen to be captured, dead or alive. As if that wasn’t bad enough there was a number of people who had witnessed him escape with the two well-known Noah, while nobody had seen the enemy who covered its tracks by erasing his existence from the memory of every person who had caught sight of him.
Even after being saved by them, Allen once again rejects they’re proposal of coming along with them. Tyki lets it be, telling him to take control of the two monsters inside him and then leaving to distract the hunter who would become their shared foe. Unsure of where to go or what to do next Allen just stands there, stagnant. But not for long, as before she disappears Road leaves him with those words once again “Don’t Stop. Keep walking”. With those words in mind he decides to leave the order and go on the run.
However, as stated to Lenalee when she catches up just before he goes through the Arc that’ll take him far away from everyone, he still considered them all his precious family, and this place his home. He smiles and hugs her close and then leaves, wondering himself if he’ll ever see any of them again. In fact, he doesn’t want too. Because he had already decided to take on this battle on his own. He couldn’t be sure what would happen if someone interfered, having seen Apocryphos take out Link and possibly even killing him, and knowing that the Earl was never going to give up. He also couldn’t be sure of himself. He didn’t know anything about the Fourteenth, but what he did know about Noah was that they killed without mercy and they hated the exorcist and the innocence they used.
This fear for his friend’s safety comes into reality after Johnny and Kanda locate him, and when the fourteenth momentarily takes control he attempts to kill Johnny without a blink of his eye or any real reason. This was also shortly after he hears that Link WAS killed in his attempt to save Allan from the independent innocence. It shocks him to the core, and strengthens his decision that he needs to be alone, that he was only a danger to them all! But Johnny doesn’t have any of it. He left the organization for him, and he said he wanted to be by his side, to help him, because he was his friend. This touches Allen deeply, making him realize just how lonely he was during this time apart.
It’s these feelings that he’ll wake up with. A deep longing for home, a wish to be with his friends once more, a desire to fight the Akuma and save the Noah, and a fear of being erased and taken over by the monster within.
With Allen out of the way, let’s go over the identity within him, Neah Walker, aka the Fourteenth Noah. Like most Noah he feels nothing when he kills. When he awakens in Allen’s body he is rather confused, because the Allen he transferred his memories into was an adult, so how was it that 35 years later he was now a 16 year old boy? He was also rather shocked and disgusted at seeing the innocence. Still he holds a childlike tone when he speaks to Tim, asking him to keep everything he saw during his moment of takeover a secret and to help Allen see more of his memories so that he could finish the process. Because even then Allen was fighting against it. He trusts Cross who was one of his followers and he has a deep and loyal love to his brother Mana. Saddened by his death but determined to continue his plans against the Earl. His desire was to destroy the Earl of Millennium and take over the position. Not much more is known about him. He can get lost in his own thoughts easily and often times expect the worst in a situation. He likes to act a lot stronger than he is, but he still has a soft side, although this is shrouded while he’s inside Allen.
After the fight involving Alma, Allen actually decides he would like to know more about Neah, in the hopes that perhaps they can work together, but having been told seeking out such answers will cause him to lose more of himself, is too afraid to find out. Right now these two have decided to be enemies, but there is the chance they could learn to work together. But that won’t happen until the manga continues and I canon update it in. The End.

Interaction Sample: Here
Third Person Sample: Nothing ever felt as cold as it did once what little warmth that remained after his embrace with Lenalee faded away. He placed a hand against his chest and let out a light sigh, his feet feeling as if they were weighed down with an extra hundred pounds of pressure. He didn’t want to leave, leave his home, and leave his friends. With every step his memories would plague him with thoughts of them, driving up small but meaningful moments in front of his mind’s eye. But he couldn’t stay, they would all be in danger.
The earl was after him, and then there was Apocryphos who was just waiting for him to go back. And then there was the fourteenth, forcing his way up. He flinches, just imagining what could happen if he lost the battle, even for a few seconds.
It took all of his power to hold back the Noah energy, he had to do this alone, and he had to fight them off himself.
He holds onto his left arm, still pained from the force it took to just get it to listen to him and stop reacting to that, that monster. His master’s killer… he looks up and takes a deep breath. It has been years since he’s been to that place, but right now it was the only place he could think of running.
Outside of the Earl’s control, away from the Order’s knowledge….a safe haven.
And with that he opens the door and walks out into the snowy grounds of the very place his Master took him after the incident with Mana. Back then he had been so broken and tired he didn’t really even think about where he was. Now he looked upon the place with wonder…Where they supporters of the fourteenth as well? Will they even let him in now without Cross?
But as soon as he rings the doorbell and the large excitable man by the name of Barba answers he knows he had nothing to worry about.
“MOTHER, SPEAK OF THE DEVIL AND THEY’RE LIKELY TO SHOW!” He heard him cry as he steps into the house, instantly being hugged by the gentle giant. He lets out a choked laugh, the motion causing pain but he couldn’t help but feel some happiness at the reunion, if only it was under better circumstances.
“It’s good to see you again.” And he smiles, well until he notices what it was that he was wearing. Wasn’t that…Mana’s outfit? For a moment his face goes slack his eyes fading out as he remembers his lost loved one. Barba seemed to notice and suddenly was acting sheepish apologizing and quickly explaining that he had been cleaning out Cross’s room and organizing all of his belongings. The teen shakes his head, smiling again so that he wouldn’t worry anymore.
“It’s alright, it suits you Barba!” After that he would be taken through memory lane again as he went through what would mostly turn out to be his and Mana’s things, things he had left behind long ago as he started along this road to becoming an exorcist.
And when he was ready to move on he did, this time with those cherished memories coming along for the ride.
